Yesterday I sat and watched my best friend go through a million emotions, all in the matter of an 8 to 10 hour period. I saw anger, pain, anticipation, nervousness, hope, excitement, joy and extreme sadness.

I saw a man that loves his children so much that he puts himself through this gamut of emotions on a daily basis. I saw a man that surprised 90% of the people in attendance yesterday for being strong. I saw a man that felt horrible that he had to be that strong, but knew he had to do it. I saw a man that knew when the time was right, he could breakdown and let it all come out.

Earlier in the week, we thought this was going to be over, but after yesterday, this is just a new chapter that's starting. It's the beginning to the ending.

It's sad to see this wonderful man go through all of this. It's a joy to see the strides he has made in self-improvement. It's happiness when his children scream "Daddy!" and run into his arms. It's pain to see him hurting. I guess all of these emotions are not just for him, they are for everyone.

I just want you to know that we all love you and we are all there for you...

Graduation Day

It's here... Sometimes I thought it couldn't or wouldn't happen, but it is... My baby girl is graduating from high school. It sounds so cliche' to say "it seems like just the other day that you went to your first day of kindergarten." The thing is, it does seem like that.

The emotions a parent goes through on a day like this are incredible. I am feeling pride, happiness, sadness, joy and so many other things.... Taking pictures in the cap and gown, for instance brought me to tears. The fact that so many people didn't think she could do it and she has, brings me to tears...

I really don't have too much else to say except, I love you Katie, I am so proud of you!
